About the role
As a Senior 3D Animator at Fortis, you will create stunning cinematics for trailers and advertisements. You will work closely with our internal teams to provide cinematic and gameplay animations, storytelling, storyboarding, animatics, and 3D layouts for ads and trailers.
What you’ll achieve
- Create high-quality 3D animations for characters, creatures, and objects based on project requirements and artistic direction.
- Develop animations for both cinematic sequences and interactive applications.
- Collaborate with the creative team to interpret storyboards and translate them into visually stunning animations.
- Contribute to the pre-visualization process to plan and refine animation sequences.
- Work with character rigging tools to set up skeletons and controls for characters to ensure smooth and realistic movement.
- Collaborate with rigging artists to address any rigging-related issues.
- Collaborate with other animators, artists, and designers to ensure consistency and quality across animations.
- Provide input and feedback during creative discussions and reviews.
- Continuously improve skills and workflows to enhance the quality and efficiency of animation production.
What you’ll need to be successful
- Proven experience as a 3D Animator with a strong portfolio showcasing diverse and high-quality animations.
- Proficiency in animation software such as Autodesk Maya, Blender, or similar.
- Strong understanding of character anatomy, movement, and facial expressions.
- Experience with character rigging and skinning is a plus.
- Knowledge of motion capture techniques and tools is a plus.
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
