Advanced Gameplay Analyst

Description

The Advanced Analyst will play a key role in the product and be responsible for its wide range of aspects.

The Analyst will lead variety of large-scale analytics project and works with cross-functional team to provide insight that enables decision making at different levels of the product. The responsibilities entail owning analytics end-to-end lifecycle, from inception of the idea to delivering outcome, combining excellent critical thinking, problem solving methods, analytics tools and techniques, and solid communication to support product growth, AB Test design, team mentorship, and data improvement to consistently improve our players’ experience and achieve business goals.

Key Responsibilities

· Engage with product and analytics to understand, define, and lead open-ended and complex business problems and identify analytics solutions to enable timely, accurate and evidence-based decision making

· Define areas of improvement and lead projects to enable the team to identify patterns, trends, opportunities, and threats to the product

· Be Subject Matter Expert in all domains of the game, provide guidance to the team on interpreting KPIs, building tools, leveraging analytics methodologies, and delivering results to execute top-notch analyses to drive the product growth. Be able to perform these as an individual contributor, independently and proactively.

· Partner with cross-functional team to define, monitor and assess AB Tests that translate business and strategic questions into structured analysis method, and accordingly plan and execute the most suitable approach, technique, solution, and lead to actionable recommendations that will optimize the game performance

· Work closely with the leadership to find opportunities that enables analytics team to proactively contribute in strategic direction of the company

· Continuously audit the entire reporting framework and ensure they are accurate, available, and accessible to the stakeholders, including senior management

· Own and lead multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic, fast-changing, and results-oriented environment

Requirements

· At least 5 years’ experience as an analyst in data-driven organizations; An experience in the on-line industry, especially in gaming- Major Advantage

· Experience in leading/managing team is a major advantage

· Solid technical skills; SQL programing, BI tools (Tableau preferably), statistical methods and modeling, big-data environments- Mandatory

· Hands-on experience with Python/R- Advantage

· Outstanding attention to details, analytical skills and critical, business, strategic and problem-solving thinking

· Exceptional sense of urgency, critical thinking and problem-solving approach, clear communication to translate date into insight and present it in a sharp and clear way

· Passion for the gaming industry

· Self-learner, multi-tasking, able to work independently, initiative, highly organized, “can-do” approach

· Fluent English – both written and verbal

· BA in Industrial Engineering / Economics / Statistics or equivalent academic background
