Student Placement - Engineer

Playground Games are seeking Placement Engineers to join our Forza Horizon team.

We have an opening for university students to spend a year with Playground Games as Associate Engineers. You will be embedded in one of our AAA gameplay, rendering or engine teams and get to work on Forza Horizon.

As part of our gameplay teams, you’ll help design and build the features which offer players innovative gameplay experiences.

As part of our engine teams, you’ll help create the tooling, pipelines and engine systems that drive our games and make creating them possible.

As part of renderings, you’ll help us realise the vision of our art teams, working with cutting edge rendering techniques to produce visually stunning games experiences.

You should have:

• Good C++ and/or C# skills
• Working towards a degree in Games Programming, Computer Science or similar
• Excellent communication skills
• A passion for games

This is an opportunity to join an established and highly experienced AAA team. It is the perfect first step for a career in the games industry.

During your placement you will work with an established, talented, and collaborative team at one of the industry’s most exciting first-party game studios. You will help deliver new features and solve complex problems as you work on a world-class AAA game, working closely with your teammates and other disciplines. By the end of your placement, you will have learnt what it takes to make the games you love to play.

This placement would start from Summer 2024 for a period of 12 months.
