LQA/FQA Test Lead: Games

Localsoft, S.L. is a world-class localization company offering translation, testing and audio services. From our headquarters in the Málaga TechPark in Málaga, Spain, we operate both locally and internationally with clients from different business sectors including Games. We are expanding and currently hiring experienced LQA/FQA Test Lead for our Testing Department in our HQ in Málaga TechPark.
To be successful in this role, you should have a minimum of 2 years of experience working as an LQA/FQA Lead in the gaming industry. As a Lead, you will manage video game testing projects in a deadline-driven environment taking full ownership of the tasks entrusted to you. Your job is to ensure successful project completion and 100% customer satisfaction. You are expected to be a good team player helping the Project Manager and testing teams in their daily tasks as well as working independently.
Requirements
- English at a native or near-native level. Other languages are a plus
- Good communication, planning and organization skills
- Understand the importance of confidentiality, security and quality
- Customer-focused, understand the importance of continuous customer satisfaction
- Ability to follow instructions and established processes
- Positive, problem-solving, pro-company “can do” attitude with a willingness to go the extra mile
- Capacity to lead and motivate multilingual tester teams in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment where schedule changes are part of planning
- Able to work with tight deadlines in a deadline-driven environment
- Able to see the full picture as well as have a keen eye for detail
- Tools: Jira, Xloc, memoQ, etc.
- IT literacy: MS Office, especially Excel
- Flexible and a good team player
- Willingness to learn and grow to the next level
- Experience with Japanese customers is a plus
Responsibilities
- Follow company policy and procedures
- Timely management of the given tasks
- Assist the Project Managers throughout projects
- Support project and team preparation for execution, e.g. testing space preparation, firmware updates, bug tracking tool setup, etc.
- Prepare, assign and monitor testers' daily tasks
- Support and motivate testing teams with their daily work and progress
- Bug vetting, tracking and bug database maintenance
- Terminology checks
- Prepare daily/weekly reports and other admin tasks
- Communicate professionally with clients (emails, phone, video conferences)
- Create and maintain project documentation
- Provide feedback on testers' performance
- Participate in testers' trainings when needed
- Help in resource selection when needed
- Test when needed
- Other related tasks
