Position Overview

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Gameplay Systems Engineer to join our dynamic development team. This role is integral to the creation and implementation of game features and systems that enhance player experience and engagement. You will work closely with design and art teams to bring innovative gameplay ideas to life, ensuring a seamless and immersive experience for our players.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement new gameplay features and systems, working closely with the design team to ensure alignment with the game’s vision.
• Optimize existing game mechanics for better performance and player experience.
• Collaborate with the art team to integrate visuals and animations into gameplay systems.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to maintaining high coding standards.
• Debug and fix issues identified in game systems.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest gaming trends, technologies, and methodologies to suggest improvements for Entropia Universe.
• Be flexible and open to work with all parts of the technical ecosystem. This can include everything from scripting a new UI to adding new functionality to the database, as well as working with build scripts and in-house tools.

Examples of skills we value:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Game Development, or a related field.
• Competent in C++ and/or other programming languages relevant to game development.
• Good understanding of game mechanics and player-centric design.
• Experience with game engines, preferably Unreal Engine
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and communicate with other team members.
• Creative thinker with a passion for games and a drive to innovate within the virtual world space.
• Problem-solving and communication skills.
