Generalist / Technical Artist (Unreal Engine)

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Generalist / Technical Artist with expertise in Unreal Engine to join our team. You will be responsible for creating short animations (between 2 and 10 seconds) using the Sequencer tool, as well as assisting with various aspects of art production.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize the Sequencer tool to create short animations for cinematic sequences.
• Have extensive knowledge of the Sequencer tool, including its advanced features.
• Work with metahumans and other advanced characters to apply and edit animations.
• Use the control rig tool for specific edits inside the Sequencer.
• Retarget animations to different characters or skeletons as needed.
• Use the Take Recorder for capturing animations.
• Perform basic prop animations, such as animating cars and objects in the scene.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in Unreal Engine, with a strong understanding of its animation and sequencer tools.
• Demonstrated experience in creating short animations, preferably for games or interactive media.
• Extensive knowledge of the Sequencer tool, including its advanced features.
• Familiarity with metahumans and applying/editing animations on complex characters.
• Ability to use the control rig tool for specific animation edits within the Sequencer.
• Experience with retargeting animations and basic prop animation.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with other aspects of game development, such as modeling, texturing, or lighting.
• Knowledge of other animation tools or software.
