About the team and Role
The Workplace Manager will be a part of the People Operations team championing workplace and employee experience at & driving facility improvement efforts of our Las Vegas HQ. This role may oversee coordinator(s) and other staff related to building management, including staff supplied by external vendors. In addition to our Las Vegas HQ, you will drive engagement across all teams in the company including additional office locations and remote employees.
What you'll do:
You’ll drive engagement, culture and experience of working in our global headquarters. Fostering an environment of safety, comfort and engagement for the Skillz' Las Vegas team.
- Manage programs to enhance the daily Workplace experience for our Skillzians.
- Update and maintain property condition reports with respect to roofs, HVAC units, parking lot, etc
- Obtain bids and manage capital improvement projects as needed
- Monitor the cleanliness and functionality of interior and exterior workspaces, such as offices, conference rooms, communal spaces, parking lots and outdoor recreation spaces and make changes as necessary
- Manage all services as it relates to workspaces including vendors, security and Workplace Coordinators
- Ensure proper security measures for all Skillz buildings; inclusive of implementing new systems, collaborating with security system vendors, and managing security access controls
What we’re looking for: (Quantitative Role Requirements)
- Minimum of 5 years managing a site/facility/office space including 3 years of managing staff
- Experience negotiating vendor licenses; including
- 3 years Experience managing multiple vendors to run a large commercial facility
- Minimum of 3 years experience in employee experience/engagement
- Strong knowledge in maintenance management, building systems, electrical, HVAC, security etc.
