What We Do
Our ECOSEC team provides a safer experience for Epic's users. We work across multiple products and services to improve technology and craft transparent policies so our players and users can have positive experiences on our platforms.
What You'll Do
Epic Games is looking for a web engineer to support our Trust & Safety tools and services.
Our team builds solutions which prevent the spread of harmful content, enforce our community guidelines and analyze user reports. As a direct contributor to these systems, you will have the opportunity to improve the safety of hundreds of millions of players around the world.
We are looking for a candidate who is comfortable developing web applications using React and Go in a microservice environment, and can work well with internal and external product development teams.
In this role, you will
- Design and implement new features in our React/Next.js web applications
- Experiment with new technologies to improve the accuracy and efficiency of our content screening and report processing pipelines
- Work with stakeholders and internal product teams to integrate the trust and safety systems into their workflows
- Improve the design, usability and architecture of our UI systems
What we're looking for
- BS/BA degree or equivalent work experience
- Experience with a modern web development framework (we use React)
- Expert knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript
- Experience integrating with web APIs and implementing foundational concepts like authorization, caching, and data fetching.
- Strong understanding of UX/UI best practices, and accessibility
- Understanding of distributed systems and design patterns
- A keen appreciation for design
- Effective communication skills

Pay Transparency Information
The expected annual base pay range(s) for this position are detailed below. Each base pay range is relevant only for individuals who are residents of or will be expected to work within the specified locale. Compensation varies based on a variety of factors, which include (but aren’t limited to) things such as skills and competencies, qualifications, knowledge, and experience. In addition to base pay, most employees are eligible to participate in Epic’s generous benefit plans and discretionary incentive programs (subject to the terms of those plans or programs).
Washington Base Pay Range
$147,722 — $216,658 USD
