Web Data Analyst

Overview
ZeniMax Online Studios is seeking an experienced Web Data Analyst to build robust data collation and reporting solutions across a variety of web data sources and products. As the Web Data Analyst, you will work directly with engineers to log and feed data into centralized reports for team consumption and monitoring. You will create new KPIs and drive value back to the development teams by helping them understand their product performance and opportunities. You will be a driving force for A/B testing, ensuring we are constantly improving our existing game websites and performing vital research to influence how we build future game websites better.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, distribute, and maintain reports, visualizations, dashboards, and statistical models
- Mine data and perform deep analysis across all web systems to identify optimal strategies for monetization and conversion, etc. on a recurring basis
- Identify new web system and content KPIs and data sources while working with engineering to create the relevant data feeds to build data visualizations
- Partner with stakeholders and departmental teams to elicit and document reporting and analytics requirements
- Work in tandem with engineering teams to log user interaction and service performance metrics in standardized and readily accessed ways
- Assist team leads in understanding and deriving value from their associated dashboards and metric decks
- Create and maintain unified metric decks to be reviewed by the business and development teams on a weekly and monthly basis
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience developing reports, visualizations, and dashboards using data visualization and data publishing products such as Tableau and PowerBI
- Demonstrable knowledge of logical database design, relational databases, and data warehouse principles
- Proven SQL knowledge including statistical, aggregate, and windowing functions
- Capable of engaging with professionals from a variety of backgrounds including Engineering, Business Intelligence, Marketing, Content, and Product Management
- Experience collating disparate data sources using ETL extractions, API calls, and Log exports and publishing them into unified data visualization experiences
- Demonstrated ability to perform statistical analysis on an adhoc basis and communicate the results to a variety of audiences
Preferred Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math, or Engineering
- Experience using statistical packages such as R
- Experience building and analyzing web performance, web content, and backend service-related performance metrics
- Experience working with clickstream data and web analytics solutions such Google Analytics and mPulse
- Experience monitoring and assessing A/B testing
