The Within Design Group (WDG) is a creatively driven team who owns the look and feel of Supernatural. The WDG is a highly specialized team of artists and designers working cross-platform on all of Within’s products, projects, and R&D initiatives. We focus on high-end visual production and user experiences across multiple mediums and technologies. Collaborating closely with the product, engineering, and leadership teams, we share a passion for creating groundbreaking experiences in virtual and augmented reality experiences.
The impact you’ll make:
The WDG is seeking a motivated, experienced and creative Visual Designer to join our group! The Visual Designer will be involved in every aspect of the design process, from conceptualizing new ideas to designing interactions to final asset production. You will be at the forefront of user interface design and will help shape and define the visual language of our products and brand materials.
We’re looking for candidates that are excited about collaborating with a diverse group of creative thinkers and do-ers, to experiment with new visual ideas and to refine conceptual designs. Being both creative and analytical is very important for this full-time role.
What You’ll Do:
As a Visual Designer in the WDG, you will be responsible for creating visually compelling and intuitive interface designs, cover art (thumbnails) for all of the content in Supernatural, 2D/3D assets, interactive and motion designs, in-game graphics, and brand materials.

- Create cutting-edge graphics and interfaces
- Create and own the Cover Art / Thumbnail design process in Supernatural
- Communicate designs effectively through the use of wireframes, prototypes and mockups
- Create concepts and prototypes for interfaces and product UI features
- Help create the visual language of our brand/products through cross-platform design
- Test and refine UI ideas with internal teams
- Support graphic design efforts for product branding and materials
- Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to ensure asset handoffs are smooth
- Take creative direction and feedback and translate it back into visual design concepts
- Quickly solve cross-functional design problems
- Articulate design concepts and decisions to stakeholders
- Maintain assets from inception to completion
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Own and maintain WDG file structure and documentation
What you’ll need to be successful:
- Outstanding portfolio demonstrating a variety of visual creativity, both in interface and graphic design
- 3+ years of experience working with user interface design, graphic design and typography
- Strong experience in 2D design software (Figma, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc)
- Experience with motion graphics and animation (AfterEffects)
- Experience with UX, UI, web and mobile design
- Experience working with multidisciplinary design teams
- Experience with interactive design and prototyping
- Knowledge of emerging tech
- Ability to collaborate based on team and project needs
Bonus points for:
- Unity experience
- 3D experience (Houdini, Maya, 3D Studio Max, C4D)
- VR/AR Prototyping experience
