Video Producer II - League Inc. Marketing

Our players love video and so do we. That love means that video is often the primary output from publishing campaigns at Riot. Video Production partners with product developers and marketing creatives to create compelling content that showcases new products across all of our games. We also build videos with meaningful messaging to communicate changes to our players. Producers, Editors, Directors, and Capture Artists all work with Brand, Comms and Development across all forms of video. From Gameplay to Dev Diaries to Live Action to traditional animation and CG, our focus is to surprise and delight all of our players.

As a Video Producer for League of Legends Inc. Marketing , reporting to a Manager of Video Production, you will be one of our gameplay content video visionaries, creating and shepherding technically excellent, fun-heightened, player-approved video content from conception to delivery, enhancing the quality bar for the video team. You will join the team at an exciting time as we continue to launch new games, and we will look to your video production skills to set the stage for their success. Your content production experience, inspired creative vision, and understanding of League of Legends will help us develop creative new gameplay-focused content for passionate players around the world.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with a variety of technical and creative teams across multiple teams and locations (including editors, gameplay capture artists, sound designers, product developers, on camera talent and more) to bring video projects from brief to delivery and achieve unparalleled, industry-leading results
• Take ownership of the defined creative vision and provide a detailed roadmap to delivery to manage content from ideation to post production while working with the Video Production Lead and Marketing Team(s) to smooth any roadblocks along the way.
• Evaluate our content, presenting new ways to improve our technical, craft-focused experience.
• Work with other teams and build trusted relationships across the organization to develop efficient methods of managing production
• Use your knowledge of League of Legends (or MOBA games) play styles to inform production of authentic, compelling video content within this genre.
• Manage creative production with 3rd party vendors to ensure our content remains true to players expectations

Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years of production & project management experience with a reel or links demonstrating creative video content
• Experience managing schedules, budgets, and production teams
• Knowledge of different projects types such as web, mobile, video, brand, BTS / Developer Content and strategic consulting
• Understanding of CG animation pipelines
• Comfortable using game engine tools to create video content
• Advanced knowledge of League of Legends or MOBA gameplay and play styles

Desired Qualifications:

• 1+ years Experience with Localization Workflows
• 3+ years of experience contributing to iterative feedback and creative production
• Understanding of Visual Effects/Motion Graphics, Live Action Documentary
• Hands-on design, video editing, or programming skills (experience with Unity a bonus)
• Experience negotiating client and vendor fees, creating estimates and purchase orders
• Familiar with League of Legends Universe Lore / IP and knowledge of Mobile Games and Mobile MOBAs
