Relic Entertainment is a wholly owned studio of SEGA. We are an award-winning developer of genre-defining games like Homeworld, Dawn of War, Company of Heroes, and Age of Empires. We have a full-time opportunity for a Video Editor to join our studio in beautiful Vancouver.

As an integral part of the Brand Marketing team, you will make eye-catching video sequences that support key marketing and community efforts across all our channels. You will collaborate with artists, animators, programmers and designers and will have plenty of opportunities to grow and expand your skillset. The studio will be giving you the ownership and creative freedom to solve our most challenging problems.
This is a full-time permanent position requiring English language proficiency. Salary: CAD $59,800 - 80,000 (DOE)
As a Video Editor, you will…
- Plan, capture, edit and produce game trailers premiering stunning visuals of game features and core mechanics
- Showcase our products by creating pre-visualizations, videos, and media content for PR support
- Develop and expand the boundaries of our proprietary tools for game capture, cinematics, and camera animation
- Collaborate with leads and other disciplines, including the audio and design teams, to produce sound and musical elements or to enhance balance between gameplay and visual storytelling
You are a great fit if you have…
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in video editing, working within a marketing, brand, or game team
- The ability to capture action-oriented and dramatic sequences with a strong visual aesthetic
- A clear understanding of core visual concepts, including composition, movement, and camera animation
- A creative problem-solving approach with an ability to quickly adapt to new tools and a dynamic production environment
- Experience working with varying levels of supervision and direction, ranging from complete autonomy to working directly with clients, leads, editor, producer, or creative directors
- A love for learning high level gameplay and presenting complex game mechanics
- A natural ability to take things on proactively and maintain a long-term vision while having patience and meeting short term goals
- A desire to grow and learn with us

- A passion for games!
- Scene scripting and scene layout experience in a game engine, such as Source Filmmaker, Unreal Matinee, or Unity Cinema Suite
- Experience and background in film, photography, audio, motion graphics, machinima, or compositing
