Purpose of the position
As Ubisoft Montreal’s Vice President of Studio Business Performance & Operations, your mission will be to guide our strategic decisions to increase the revenue potential of our productions.
You’ll define and drive a strategy to maximize business performance on all the studio’s projects. You’ll create a dedicated group that will define, align, and execute the studio business strategy to ensure the profitability of our games.
You’ll head the studio's Operations department, a structure composed of Purchasing, Real Estate, Local IT, Accounting and Finance. You will define the vision of your teams and ensure the delivery of their services in order to maintain sound financial management and provide an exceptional level of service to employees.
As a member of the studio executive committee reporting to the Managing Director, you'll influence the studio’s objectives and priorities, plus play a significant role in its long-term financial health.
Key responsibilities
Strategic business direction
- Collaborate with production teams to develop monetization and revenue optimization strategies for our games.
- Build and guide a group specifically focused on maximizing the financial performance of our games + represent the group during production milestone reviews.
- Establish KPIs related to organizational performance + define additional revenue targets for the studio's productions.
- Create a visibility plan to monitor and track the costs and financial performance of the studio's productions.
- Enhance financial literacy throughout the studio.
Operations management and optimization
- Maintain harmony between the studio’s operational and financial strategy and that of the relevant departments at HQ.
- Define the priorities of your teams (Procurement, Real Estate, Local IT, and Finance), ensuring alignment with the organization's strategic goals.
- Be the expert on the studio executive committee on topics related to financial performance and operations.
- Collaborate with other executive committee members to define the studio's business objectives.
Qualifications
We’re looking for someone with:
- Significant management and leadership experience
- A university degree in Business Administration or Finance (or related training)
- Extensive experience in aligning and prioritizing financial analysis, monetization, and operations strategies with an organization's business plan
- An innovative spirit that drives you to explore and implement optimized ways of doing things
- Excellent presentation, interpersonal, and French and English communication skills
- An inclusive, influential, and inspiring leadership style that allows you to rally people around common goals
- Effective cross-departmental collaboration: you can easily cooperate with members from all disciplines and organizational levels
- Consideration of different perspectives before acting on new ideas
- Flexibility to respond to continuous market changes and quality expectations
