Aristocrat Technologies is seeking a Vice President, Communications for a leadership role reporting directly to the CEO in our Global Gaming organization and contributing as a key member of the Americas Leadership Council and the Gaming C-Suite Staff. The successful candidate will serve as the chief communications leader for the Global Gaming business and as an integral member of the senior management team, developing and overseeing the strategic communications plan for external communications and public relations initiatives. Furthermore, they will hold overall accountability for setting and delivering the communications strategy that facilitates the delivery of the Global Gaming business plan. He/she/they acts as an ambassador for the organization capitalizing on strong media relationships with local, industry and consumer media outlets and journalists, securing media opportunities for Aristocrat’s most senior executives, and providing ongoing media training for team members. The Vice President, Communications defines how the Aristocrat story is told in the media, providing support for internal global communications initiatives, and gives a voice and narrative to Aristocrat as we transform and advance the design, develop, and build some of your very favorite digital casino games found in casinos and on mobile devices throughout the world.
What We're Looking For
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, execute, and lead an integrated communications strategy that expands and enhances ATI’s brand awareness and reputation, fostering an external network of communication and partnerships with businesses and consumer media publications that optimizes media exposure
- Provide subject matter expertise and communications leadership to the Global Aristocrat Gaming team, responding to media inquiries, developing and executing on comprehensive communications and action plans, providing insight on current media and strategic “go-forward” guidance
- Advise the Gaming C-Suite and key leaders, maintaining the strictest confidentiality while providing insights, perspective, and counsel on Public Relations strategies and issues while executing the organization’s crisis and issues management efforts
- Design, develop, execute and lead the internal communications strategy for Global Gaming and Americas Gaming teams
- Develop, lead and support effective communications around other Global Gaming priorities including but not limited to ESG, DE&I, and reputation and culture objectives, while working with colleagues in Global Gaming and Group
- Build relationships, coordinate and collaborate with the regional Gaming communications leads as well as other communications leads across the greater Aristocrat business
- Ownership of communications platforms, tools and infrastructure as well as accountability for improvement and innovation to ensure impactful communications, both external and internal, over time
- Routinely measure success in alignment with broader brand strategies and the vision and goals of leadership
- Leverage P&C partnership to define, develop and execute on change management across the Global Gaming organization
- Develop and maintain key performance highlights and accolades
- Remain abreast of industry developments news, and communicate marketing intelligence and insights to the leadership team
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, media relations or related field
- A minimum of 15 years of leadership experience in corporate communications strategy and execution
- Must possess and innate charisma, persuasiveness, and ability to make a logical, emotional, and / or ethical appeal that helps others arrive at the desired perspective; Ability to influence at all levels internally and externally using sound judgment, wisdom, and sensitivity
- Crisis communications experience managing messaging and brand reputation
- Possessing a singular internal and external customer focus acting with empathy, compassion and service orientation
- Exceptional written, oral, interpersonal, and presentation skills with the ability to grasp and translate complex and disparate ideas into a cohesive editorial with clear key messaging
- Must be an inclusive leader with demonstrated experience guiding, motivating, and developing top talent and dedicated to creating a culture of collaboration and action
- Fluent in digital communication mediums and multi-channel communications strategies
- Possessing a deep and established network of media relationships with both business and consumer media outlets and journalists
- Ability to balance vision and creative thinking with analytical rigor to meet the organization's goals
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Communication, Public Relations, or Business Administration is highly preferred
- Prior experience in large digital product, gaming, content distribution, media, and entertainment, or omnichannel retail organizations is highly preferred
