Job Purpose
CSR Racing has the most beautifully detailed digital replicas of the latest and greatest cars that our players love to race and collect. The success of our gameplay combined with the attention to detail of how we represent the cars has led to exclusive partnerships such as ‘Fast and Furious’ and countless exclusives partnering with the worlds most famous car brands; Ferrari, Porsche, Lamborghini, Bugatti, Pagani and more.
We are seeking a Vehicle Licensing Manager to join our CSR Racing studio to deliver vehicle licensing on the popular CSR Racing franchise as we continue to grow working with the Licensing and partnerships Co-ordinator and for the Licensing and Partnerships Director. You will bring exciting content from key partners and the 70+ car manufacturers and 300+ after market manufacturers that we work with to create vehicles for the CSR Racing franchise!
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Vehicle Licensing: With over 350 of the worlds leading automotive brands you will be responsible for the delivery of the licensing process including requesting new licenses, terms, contract, managing data between Licensor and Licensee and compliance. You will also be responsible for extending the rights of existing titles. We work with companies from all around the world and from time to time you might be required to travel to meet partners and attend trade shows
- New Vehicles: Working closely with the vehicle art team and the Licensing and Partnership Director you will identify new vehicles to add to the games and then requesting new licenses from Licensors.
- Agreements: Working for the Licensing & Partnerships Director you will manage the status’ of all vehicle contracts for both new and existing business. With the legal team you will define business terms with Licensors ensuring we are able to create the best content for our players. You will be responsible for ensuring that all agreements and amendments are organised in an optimal and efficient way in order to easily identify needs or requirements.
- Data Management: Developing vehicles to such a high standard requires exact and precise data from Licensors and you will be the liason between the vehicle team and Licensors to ensure we have all the required data to enable game development handling 3D CAD data, photo shoots, and vehicle technical data.
- Compliance: In order to provide the latest and greatest vehicles to our players every piece of content needs to be approved by our licensors and you will create & submit approval packs to obtain clearance to release content; from a complete car to an individual brand decal.
- External Communication: CSR Racing is a live game that continually adds new content and you will be comfortable communicating with licensors in this capacity representing the franchise on a daily basis to request new IP rights, vehicle data management for model development, arranging reference shoots as well as managing the approval process.
- Team Collaboration: As part of the Licensing & Partnerships team you will work collaboratively with minimal supervision managing the licensing of the CSR Racing franchise checking in with the L&P Director as necessary. You will partner with the Licensing and Partnerships Coordinator and share some duties where appropriate across titles. This role will work closely with the Vehicle Team and be their bridge to licensors to communicate any requirements and manage the approval process. You will also communicate to the wider team statuses. You will also work closely with Legal to facilitate contractual review and report any needs or challenges.
Required Experience & Skills
- Experience working as a Licensing Manager ideally in an applicable licensing category as either a Licensor or Licensee. Experience with contractual needs of virtual goods is desirable.
- Ability to manage a large number of brands and be on point
- Excellent attention to detail. Experience to identify the key points of a contract
- Google (Sheets, Docs, Drive), Microsoft Office, Adobe Suite
- An elegant, straightforward and confident communicator.
