WHAT YOU'LL DO
We're looking for a User Researcher (UXR) to be responsible for finding out what makes our players “Woo Woo!”. To love or loathe team games, that is the question (among many questions), you’ll be empowered to research for our game, product, and marketing teams!
In This Role You Will
- Recognize and translate game design, development, and marketing questions into impactful user research studies.
- Collaborate with the game design teams to incorporate player insights into design thinking.
- Guide UX designers on instant usability tests.
- Carry out research through usability studies, expert reviews, and playtests by moderating tests, observing users, analysing findings and writing reports.
- Analyse and present usability study results in the form of conclusions and recommendations.
- Be a voice for user research advocating for the benefits it delivers to our development process and player experience in our games.
What We're Looking For
- Hands-on execution of usability studies for creative products
- Previous participation in user research for games or a deep understanding of play behaviours.
- Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality, both in terms of your own work & in improving product quality through testing.
- You’re user-focused, passionate, scrappy, solutions-focused, and innovative. These traits equal success at Epic and influence everything we do.
Remaining Skills Needed
- Understanding of what UX is and why it's important.
- Analytic mind, interest in science, and strong listening skills.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to collaborate with our game design, development, marketing, and product teams.
- Good organisation skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- An understanding of a live service product & the role of user research to support continued development is essential.
