About the role
As a Research Manager, you will develop and execute a comprehensive research strategy to gather insights into player behavior, UI/UX, market(ing) trends and audience motivations for an extended portfolio of launched and in production titles.
You will perform end to end research studies, including qualitative and quantitative research methodologies and analytics, while collaborating with product managers, game designers, marketing teams, community team, analytics, and developers to integrate research insights into decision-making and design processes.
What you’ll achieve
- Identify key research questions and methodologies, aligning them with business objectives, product development stage and product hypothesis
- Particular focus on collaboration with our Community Development team
- Excel in providing actionable insights from the research findings. Be driven by data, and present findings openly and sensibly to key stakeholders
- Provide guidance on target audiences, motivational frameworks, feature prioritization, game design improvements, and player engagement strategies
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging market opportunities
- Conduct market research to inform product development and marketing strategies
- Create and maintain comprehensive reports and documentation of research findings, methodologies, and recommendations
- Communicate research results effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders & across teams and functions
What you’ll need to be successful
- Significant experience in consumer insights, user research, or market research in the gaming industry
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field (e.g., Psychology, Market Research, Data Science, HCI)
- Proven experience leading research projects from inception to completion
- Strong analytical skills and expertise in research methodologies, including both quantitative and qualitative approaches
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, SPSS, R, Python)
- A passion for gaming and a deep understanding of player behavior and gaming trends
