User Experience Artist Intern (Part Time)

Job Description:

We are searching for a creative and detail-oriented User Experience Artist Intern to contribute to our independent, community-based games. As a User Experience Artist, you will play a crucial role in shaping the user experience and interface design of our games. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals with 1-2 years of experience or equivalent education to contribute their UX design skills to the gaming industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• User Interface (UI) Design:
  • Collaborate with the design team to create visually appealing and intuitive UI elements for in-game menus, HUDs, and interactive components.
  • Develop wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to communicate design concepts effectively.
• Interaction Design:
  • Design and implement user interactions that enhance the overall gameplay experience.
  • Ensure consistency and responsiveness across various platforms and devices.
• Art Integration:
  • Integrate visual elements seamlessly into the UX design.
  • Ensure that art assets align with the overall visual style and enhance the user interface.
• Documentation:
  • Document design decisions, guidelines, and specifications for the development team.
  • Maintain an organized and up-to-date repository of UX design assets.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Interaction Design, Graphic Design, or a related field (or equivalent education).
• Or 1-2 years of experience in UX design for video games or interactive media.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch.
• Understanding of game development processes and collaboration with other disciplines.
• Strong communication skills and ability to present design concepts effectively.
