Voodoo's Gaming business unit is made up of hyper-casual, hybrid-casual, casual, mid-core and blockchain experts. Our 'Core' games team supports internal and external studios worldwide in creating, developing and launching new hit games, whilst our 'Live' games team focuses on delivering higher engagement on our existing and successful games.

This is a role with a high level of ownership in an agile studio where bureaucracy simply doesn’t exist. You will be contributing to important decisions within a multidisciplinary team of passionate and talented people. This will involve fleshing out the details of a game's design, overseeing testing, and revising the game in response to player feedback. Thanks to your creativity and teamwork, you will entertain millions of people with your hit games.

Role

• Creating intuitive hyper-casual mobile games in a very fast-paced iterative environment
• Communicating well, collaborating effectively, and developing an efficient pipeline to rapidly create prototypes for testing
• Versatility to work on all aspects of the game (gameplay, features, menus, platform specifics, etc.)
• Knowing when to persevere and when to pivot to new ideas, using agile gameplay iterations when required
• Deconstructing and analysing mobile games mechanics
• Supporting and contributing to new game/feature ideas

Profile

• You enjoy playing mobile games, especially hyper-casual
• At least 2-3 years of professional experience as a Unity game developer (any experience with hyper-casual is a huge plus)
• A creative and hacker mindset, with a strong sense of ownership
• You're an impact person who shines through by the quality and timely execution of games you help create
• You can design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code through the appropriate use of design patterns
• A track record of working on mobile games, having released at least 2 games
• Familiarity with optimisation issues
• A passion for finding trends, gameplay, and game mechanics
• Excellent communication skills and a positive collaboration mindset
