Unannounced Project Technical Art Lead

Bungie is seeking a highly technical, creative, and team-oriented Technical Art Lead who is excited to lead the tech art team in building our next great IP. As Technical Art Lead, you will align with Art Direction, partner with engineer, design, and production to ensure our engine features and workflows can deliver an exceptional experience. You will be leading and supporting the tech artists on the team by leveraging your vast technical range and artistic eye to solve these diverse challenges, while advocating for their career aspirations and work life balance.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide hands on development to stand up features and pipelines
- Collaborate with creative leads to define the best technology investments to achieve the product vision
- Increase team efficiency and morale through thoughtful, efficient workflow designs
- Align artists around technical standards for content creation
- Ensure artists fully leverage the tools by providing example content and documentation
- Help artists to optimize runtime performance, while maintaining their artistic intent
- Explore emerging techniques in content development and share potential benefits
- Partner with the art manager to cultivate an environment of continued growth and learning for the Technical Art team
- Manage the growth of other technical artists
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Proven experience in Technical Art
- Proficient working in and developing tools for Maya
- Experience creating tools in Python or C#
- Familiar with rendering and animation pipelines
- Experience establishing technical roadmaps with practical targets
- Service minded approach to supporting and enabling others
- Clear and concise communication skills with individuals and across teams
- Passion for video games and the process of creating them
NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS
- Experience working with remote teams
- Familiar with using task tracking software, such as JIRA and Shotgrid
