UI/UX Designer

We are looking for a talented UI/UX designer to join our UI team on our Total War franchise at our studio based in Horsham, West Sussex.
Working directly with the UI Lead, the right candidate should be able to demonstrate excellent creative, technical, and visual skill. You will be an accomplished artist with a passion for graphic design, motion graphics and clear, usable interfaces.
Key Responsibilities
As UI/UX designer you will work closely with the current team to develop concepts and the design of new UI features and assets. You will determine gameplay with the collaboration of the game designers and create the best possible user flow.
On a day-to-day basis, you will:
- Interact and collaborate with team members from different work units (design, art, programming, etc.)
- Design the functions, appearance and handling ease of the interface and prototypes by working in collaboration with game design, user research and programming teams
- Deliver high quality assets
- Help maintain and craft the style guide, documentation, and design system
- Keep up to date and communicate the latest UI trends with the team
- Provide workflow improvement suggestions to improve productivity
Knowledge, Skill and Experience
Essential
- Working experience in a UI/UX role or capacity for an interactive product such as web, app or software products
- Knowledge of the latest tools and capabilities of those tools - Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Figma, Sketch, etc
- Strong graphic, communication, or media design skills: typography, iconography, layout, colour theory, motion design
- Ability to create as well as adapt to and follow a variety of artistic styles
- Solid understanding of UX methodologies and how they apply to game design
- Good technical knowledge and a desire to learn in-house implementation tools
- Ability to communicate and present ideas effectively
- A team player, able to take advice and feedback from their colleagues in a respectable manner.

- Understanding of user research methods
- Traditional art skills
- Interest and experience with the Total War franchise
