What We Need:
Our Foothill Ranch studio in California is seeking a Software Engineer to join our development efforts on an exciting new open world driving game using the Unreal Engine! This game brings a new direction for Visual Concepts and will be fun for all ages. Within this role, you will be focused on graphical user interfaces for all areas of the game.
What You Will Do:
- Work with other UI and gameplay engineers to develop clean and intuitive interfaces for all areas of the game, including the HUD and specialized screens
- Work with UI artists to implement art assets and animations using UMG and Widget Blueprints in Unreal Engine 4
- Use both the Widget Blueprint System and C++ to implement UI for various systems in the game
Who We Think Will Be A Great Fit:
- 2+ years’ experience in game programming
- Meaningful experience developing UI for game consoles
- High proficiency in C++
- Ability to diagnose and solve problems quickly and independently
- Ability to learn and master complicated code systems
- Ability to write clean, bug-free, well-documented, and efficient code
Pluses:
- Experience with UMG/Unreal Engine 4 Widget Blueprints
- Experience working with the gameplay framework in Unreal
