As a UI Artist, you will play a pivotal role in crafting immersive and captivating VR game experiences. Your expertise will be crucial in designing and constructing visually stunning and user-friendly interfaces that enhance the gameplay and captivate players.

• The annual base pay range for this role is between $50,000.00 and $110,000.00 CAD + benefits, + profit-sharing.

Call of Duties:

• Conceptualize, design, and implement visually captivating and interactive user interfaces for our games.
• Utilize industry-standard software and tools to construct and test UI elements and layouts.
• Collaborate closely with the development team to optimize UI designs for optimal performance and technical specifications.
• Foster effective communication and teamwork with the art, design, and programming departments to achieve cohesive and immersive game experiences.
• Incorporate player feedback and testing results to iteratively refine and enhance UI designs.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging UI design trends, techniques, and technologies to continually improve the quality and innovation of our game interfaces.

Unlocked Abilities:

• A strong understanding of user-centered design principles and the ability to create intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces.
• Experience and proficiency in creating dynamic and engaging UI animations and transitions to enhance the overall user experience.
• Knowledge of designing UI elements that work seamlessly across different platforms, screen sizes, and resolutions.
• Understanding of game engines such as Unity and experience working within their UI systems to implement and iterate on UI designs.
• Ability to rapidly prototype and iterate on UI designs, incorporating user feedback and playtesting results to refine and improve the user experience.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, including artists, designers, programmers, and producers, to ensure cohesive and consistent UI design implementation.
• A genuine love for video games and an understanding of player preferences and trends in UI design within the gaming industry.
• A portfolio of level design work that demonstrates your skills and experience

Power Ups:

• Experience with Oculus Quest and other VR headsets
• Experience working at an indie studio
• You are drawn to challenges, willing to climb Mount Everest with our team and wont stop till we all reach the top together (in VR of course)
