Marketing Art and Design Lead, New Games

We need a Marketing Art and Design Lead in our New Games department to join our diverse, multi-talented team.
Are you excellent at transforming vague, open ended instructions into clear mock-ups and polished art work under time pressure?
We are seeking a seasoned and prolific senior designer to join our rapidly growing new games team, to help us to bring to life and test new game ideas and themes by collaborating with game designers to create a variety of quick concept sketches and polished artwork for new prototype ideas and themes, splash screens, logos, and game assets.
You will:
- Develop and design static advertisements and store assets to test new concepts
- Write creative briefs for junior marketing designers and animators, and provide guidance to help them to deliver compelling, performant work
- Report to the Studio Art Director
You will be a great match if you:
- Quickly grasp ideas, and tease out the right information to deliver your work
- Possess a track record of creating legible concept sketches and polished visual designs under time pressure
- Demonstrate excellent visual and verbal communication skills
- Display discerning taste and a sharp eye for compelling visuals in a variety of art styles, graphics and genres
- Can source and modify stock art, but also create your own assets
- Are comfortable sourcing, directing and mentoring illustrators and animators
- Are eager to integrate constructive feedback in pursuit of excellence
- Are excited to work on new mobile game ideas and themes
- Are kind, enjoy collaborating, and thrive in a fast paced, creative environment
Requirements
- BA / BFA and a minimum of 4 years experience in design for Advertising, Performance Marketing, or Game Design; or a minimum of 7 years work experience in those fields without a degree
- Fluency in Creative Cloud and general tech savvy; familiarity with After Effects, Sketch/Figma, Unity, and /or Procreate are a plus

- Advertising or Branded Content – ads, cards, splash/landing screens
- Performance Marketing – static or animated ads, store/landing pages
- Games – Game boards, game piece sets, box art, splash screens, characters

This is a full time role based in New York City. We are currently working remotely, but expect this candidate to be available to work out of our office once it is safe to do so.
