TransPerfect looking for ZHHK>JA Freelance Gaming Translator

In order to meet the translation needs of our international clients, we are currently looking to expand our database of freelance linguists. Details as below:

Translate and Proofread from Traditional Hong Kong Chinese into Japanese in the following fields/specialization:

• Game; Video Games (RPG)

Job Descriptions

In this job, you will collaborate with our Project Managers to work and complete translation projects for the above mentioned subject matters.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

Japanese native or near native speakers.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Japanese, and Traditional HK Chinese.

Specialized in Gaming translation.

Acute attention to detail, spelling and grammar.

Ability to maintain professionalism in all situations, especially under tight deadlines.

Game player who's passionate about games.

Knowledge of using CAT tools is a plus.

Candidates MUST also have any ONE of the following:

A Degree in Translation, Linguistics, or Language Studies or an equivalent degree that includes significant translation training, from a recognized institution of higher education;

2 years of translation experience and a college degree;

5 years of translation experience and no college degree; or

A certificate of competence in translation awarded by an appropriate government body.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

Applicants will be asked to sign a confidentiality agreement and complete a Translation, and a Proofreading test respectively.
