Technical Writer

The Documentation team at Unity is growing! We’re searching for professionals with excellent writing and editing skills, technical proficiency, and the passion to help users get the most from Unity products.

The Unity Gaming Services team delivers battle-tested solutions for developers to build, run, and grow their games. As a Technical Writer for the Gaming Services Documentation team, you'll develop clear, concise, and accessible documentation that drives end-user adoption and success. We partner with engineering, product, marketing, and legal teams to ensure the publication of timely, high-quality content.

What you’ll be doing

• Authoring and publishing consumer-facing technical documentation for Unity products and services
• Partnering with product managers and engineers to understand each feature’s underlying technology, target audience, and documentation needs
• Collaborating with team members to ensure that documentation is as clear, concise, accurate, and usable as possible, while maintaining Unity’s voice and tone
• Working on a globally distributed team, maintaining active communication with partners across North America, Europe, and Asia

What we’re looking for

• A passion for writing, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
• An ability to distill sophisticated technical concepts into clear, easy to understand, user-focused documentation
• A successful track record delivering high-quality content in a fast-paced software development environment
• The ability to manage your time well, and work asynchronously in a collaborative environment
• A passion for technology or games

You might also have

• A working understanding of user acquisition, retention, and monetization strategies in games.
• Experience using or documenting REST API.
