Playground Games is seeking Technical Writer To join our world-class Fable Team.
As a Technical Writer you will be responsible for authoring and managing development documentation, ensuring internal and external teams are informed on all aspects of workflows, pipelines and direction.
Responsibilities
- Establish and promote best practices for technical documentation
- Contribute to, and assist development teams when writing technical documentation
- Assist with creation of onboarding resources for new starters and outsource vendors
- Take responsibility for technical documentation management and organisation
- Research and propose workflows and technology for improving documentation
- Interact with subject matter experts to actively understand and improve technical documentation
Skills summary
- Experience authoring technical documentation for software
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Be a passionate gamer
- Good at comprehending problems, solutions and workflows
- Experience with collaborative documentation tools such as Confluence
- (Desirable) Game development experience
- (Desirable) User Research experience is a bonus
- (Desirable) Programming skills is a bonus
- (Desirable) Good understanding of software UI and UX principles
