About the Position

Twitch is looking for an experienced Technical Trainer to build training solutions that educate and empower engineers at Twitch to build amazing apps for live streaming. If you have previous programming experience through application/web development, and can share highly technical concepts to audiences at different levels of proficiency, we’d like to speak with you.

You'll help develop the vision for engineering education at Twitch. You will work closely with SMEs to build and provide scalable training solutions for engineers across Twitch. As part of the Engineering Success team, you’ll promote educational programs that have a significant impact on engineering quality and the developer experience at Twitch.

Responsibilities

• Guide engineering education programming at Twitch
• Deliver instructor-led classroom training to internal engineers
• Create an engaging learner experience in each training class with multiple training strategies
• Provide content and class feedback to course developers to improve curriculum quality
• Collaborate with SMEs on the development of training content
• Proactively grow the number of qualified facilitators by developing “train the trainer” programs and ensure that facilitator knowledge is updated

Requirements

• 5+ years experience designing, creating, and delivering training for software engineers.
• CS degree or equivalent recent experience that shows depth of technical ability with JavaScript, TypeScript, or Go
• Knowledge of AWS tools
• Experience in live product demonstrations, including programming
• Experience coaching SMEs on presenting courses
