Title: Technical Fulfillment Manager (or Technical Supply Chain Manager)
Status: Exempt
Reports to: VP, Technical Operations
This position is to fulfill The VOID Technical Fulfillment Manager. The Technical Fulfillment Manager will be responsible for staffing, training, and operating a successful Technical Fulfillment organization. The position is located in Lindon, Utah and is currently responsible for tech fulfillment, supply chain, inventory, assembly, kitting and gear repair. They support the Technical Support Center and the Field Services group in North America and Europe.
Job Description
The Technical Fulfillment manager will oversee and assign work to warehouse staff. Establishes work schedules to cover upcoming assemblies. Establishes and assures adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans and performance requirements. Ensures that all issues are logged in the ticketing system. Establish process and procedures for Procurement, Assembly and Staging of equipment. Establish reports to executives as to the status of readiness for deployments. Will work closely with the Technical Support Center to help resolve RMA issues. Will maintain the Technical Bill of Materials and assembly documents. Will provide feedback into other groups on improvements of the.
Strong coaching and mentoring skills are a requirement. The position requires excellent communication and organizational skills. Must be effective in providing feedback in a timely manner. Must be able to maintain professionalism during high stress situations.
Will lead teams within the Technical Fulfillment team in the following areas:
- Procurement/Inventory – Requisition, track inventory and meet delivery deadlines for all equipment required for new deployments. Prepare and package items for shipment. Receive and inventory incoming equipment.
- Configuration/Assembly – Assemble and configure proprietary hardware, server racks, networking equipment and software. Test and assure readiness for deployment.
- Gear (Electronic) Repair – Repair and maintain records for all custom VR equipment used in production. Fulfill requests for replacements and other RMA issues assigned.
- Supply Chain – Work with vendors to ensure delivery on time for all of the proprietary equipment that is manufactured for The Void. Maintain relationships with vendors, work closely with accounting and help ensure equipment is available on time for new deployments.
Qualifications
Qualifications (minimum) Knowledge, Skills, Education and Experience Required for the candidate to be successful in the job:
1) Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or similar field.
2) Minimum 6-8 years work experience with running a field operations/technical service center or the equivalent in training and experience.
3) Three (3) years management experience with proven leadership abilities.
4) Ability to communicate courteously and professionally with outside contacts and other employees, including various levels of staff and management.
5) Ability to handle situations involving conflict while promoting a positive company image.
6) Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
7) Goal and detail-oriented.
8) Ability to perform under emergency conditions and handle multiple tasks simultaneously with frequent interruptions.
9) Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
10) Strong analytical or organizational skills.
11) Ability to travel up to 50% and has a valid passport.
12) Ability to work weekends and nights when necessary.
13) Strong technical foundation of desktop and network management.
Education
Bachelors or Equivalent in Information Technology or other related technical field.
