Amazon Games is looking for a Technical Program Manager to join our Accessibility team. You are a passionate advocate for accessibility standards who has work experience with video game titles on console and PC. You are a customer-focused, curiosity-driven, detailed, and candid person who effectively identifies and communicates issues.

As a member of the Accessibility team, you will be responsible for helping support all video game titles under Amazon Games with your expertise in accessibility, advocating to and educating stakeholders across multiple teams and disciplines.

You define and continuously improve the Accessibility portion of the Amazon Games Certification Standards (AGCS) to ensure all Amazon Games titles meet or exceed the accessibility needs of our customers. You will drive improvement and excellence both within and without the Accessibility team. You will be the voice of the customer and must be able to navigate ambiguous problem spaces to identify and advocate for addressing the concerns which have the most impact on the customer experience.

Key job responsibilities
- Drive efforts to research current/upcoming accessibility legislation globally as well as to better understand what accessibility means to our customers and how to exceed those expectations
- Managing and prioritizing work related to education, awareness, and testing against accessibility standards to ensure the Accessibility team’s bandwidth focuses on the most impactful efforts
- Defining measures of success to validate the impact the Accessibility team is having and pivoting when necessary to meet changing customer and business needs
- Define and continuously improve the Accessibility portion of the Amazon Games Certification Standards
- Advocate for and educate on the requirements and benefits of accessibility in discussions with stakeholders
- Maintain an understanding of currency industry best practices and evolving player expectations for accessibility
- Drive improvement to every aspect of the team’s documentation and process, ensuring customers are able to make the most of the Accessibility team’s services

A day in the life
You leverage your experience working with and playing video game titles through a customer-obsessed accessibility lens to think creatively about how the Accessibility team can have the most positive impact – you then build an effective plan for achieving those outcomes. You meet with the Accessibility team and various stakeholders regularly and ensure the Accessibility team is helping each title achieve its production timelines with the highest possible quality, both through reviewing the title against accessibility standards and continuously researching additional ways to improve the customer experience.

About the team
The Accessibility team owns the Accessibility portion of the Amazon Games Certification Standards (AGCS), reviewing titles against these standards, answering questions from title teams to help them better understand these standards, and iteratively improving these standards with a focus on customer obsession.

The broader AGCS are owned by the Certification team, with whom the Accessibility team works with closely. The Accessibility team helps advise how titles and features can be improved to be more accessible, and provides positive examples from other titles whenever possible. The Accessibility team works on various projects to improve accessibility awareness and education throughout Amazon Games, and where possible in the broader video game industry.

Basic Qualifications

- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 3+ years of software development experience
- 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
- 5+ years of Games Industry (supporting title Development, Release, or Live Ops) experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

Preferred Qualifications

- 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
- Experience defining accessibility features and accessibility requirements for video game titles
- Experience educating about and advocating for accessibility features and accessibility requirements for video game titles

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $119,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
