The id Software team is seeking a full-time Technical Producer to help us continue to push our industry leading technology to new heights. The Technical Producer role is a critical element of the development process, coordinating with Tech Directors and programmers, fostering effective and open communication across the teams, and driving engine and tool initiatives to completion.
Responsibilities
The id Software team is seeking a full-time Technical Producer to help us continue to push our industry leading technology to new heights. The Technical Producer role is a critical element of the development process, coordinating with Tech Directors and programmers, fostering effective and open communication across the teams, and driving engine and tool initiatives to completion.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of successful production management experience building large AAA titles
- At least 1 AAA shipped title credited as a Producer
- Experience working with large, cross discipline teams
- Outstanding organization and time management skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proficient with common scheduling tools such as Jira, ShotGrid/ShotGun, or Hansoft.
- Proficient with Outlook, SharePoint, Confluence and Excel
- Able to adapt quickly to change, communicate impact, and align the team with the new direction.
- Act as a forcing function to keep the team moving forward and aligned with the creative direction and deadlines
- Demonstrable experience working within a modern game development process, including estimating workflow, resolving bottlenecks, identifying dependencies, evaluating work quality, and proactively solving problems
- Confident and positive attitude
- Solid technical knowledge of computer hardware and software
- Self-motivated team player with a strong work ethic and cooperative attitude
Preferred Skills
- A sincere passion for id Software games and the technology that powers them
- Experience with console manufacturers, their submission processes, and guidelines
- Scrum or Agile experience
- Perforce proficiency
- B.S. or equivalent education in related fields
- Experience with Jira and ShotGrid administration
- Familiarity with modern programming languages and/or game engines
