Position Summary: Technical Director

• 100% Remote position & other cool benefits
• Working with an international team on AAA games in a multi-engine studio (Frostbite, Unreal, CryEngine)
• Develop engine systems as well as improve workflows for our development teams on platforms including PC and consoles
• Familiar with multi-genre (FPS, MMO, Sports) development lifecycles and ecosystem.

• Facilitate communication between clients, internal teams/management, and individual contributors

Responsibilities

• Leads teams of engineers working on projects
• Expert in multiple engine architectures, game domains (gameplay, rendering, systems, AI, physics, audio, tools), and how they relate to design
• Understand the differences between supported game platforms and smoothly transition between them
• Lead on evaluating performance, and optimization on supported game platforms for both customer projects as well as TLM’s internal tech.
• Work closely with the other team leads as well as the customer on technical goals, features, and development.
• As a leader, ensure that code quality, reusability and documentation are always a high priority.
• Own the customer facing relationship for your engineering team

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of game development experience, including on recent generation consoles
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 3+ shipped AAA titles, with at least 2 as a lead/senior/TD
• Strong C/C++, performance analysis, optimization and debugging skills
• Background with parallel programming and multi-threaded engine systems.
• Comprehensive understanding of PC and console architecture, memory systems, and cross-platform game development best practices..
• Excellent communication skills with engineers and across departments
• Experience with technical design documentation
  

Desired Qualifications

• Familiarity with current and next generation console SDKs and PC store fronts (eg. Steam, Epic, etc).
• Expertise in Mathematics
• Shipped a multiplayer game
