Technical Designer

Rockstar New England is searching for enthusiastic individuals to join our Technical Design team. As a part of this team you will work on a wide range of areas in an established codebase, analyzing, tuning, and authoring game system data. You will work closely with other disciplines to help create an exceptional and polished gameplay experience. This will be an iterative process where we’ll collaborate with Programmers, Artists, and Animators to fine tune, tweak, and polish until we achieve the best combination of realism and fun.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Passion for Rockstar Games and our titles.
- Passion for playing and creating cutting edge video game experiences.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited University, or minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience required.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Technical familiarity with programming and scripting languages.
- Excellent problem solving skills; ability to analyze game code and data to proactively debug issues and quality test your own work before involving others.
- Candidates must be highly motivated, organized, personable and able to work as part of a team.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize work based on feedback/critiques with a detail-obsessed eye for quality.
- Communicates clearly and concisely; building collaborative relationships and resolving conflicts in a constructive manner.
- Passionate about your work and willing to wear many different hats in order to achieve the highest level of quality.
- Knowledge and Understanding of these industry standard software applications: Visual Studio, Photoshop, Microsoft Word/Excel.
DESIRED SKILLS
- Professional game development experience in an AAA studio in both single and multi-player sandbox environments.
- C/C++ programming skills.
- Experience with bug tracking software.
