Your role

The Technical Cinematic Designer will create and implement cinematic system design elements into the game. They will act as a point of contact for the Cinematic Designers on technical matters, serve as a bridge between the tech and design teams and provide support when dealing with complex issues whenever necessary. The ideal candidate should have strong analytical thinking, while at the same time has affinity to and understanding of cinematography and how its elements work.

OVERSEE THE PRODUCTION OF TECHNICAL ELEMENTS
That are part of the cinematic design system

WORK IN CLOSE COLLABORATION
With the Realization Director, Programmers and other collaborators

RESEARCH AND EVALUATE
The technical feasibility of cinematic design intentions

ESTABLISH AND MAKE SURE
The technical pipeline and standards are respected

CREATE AND MAINTAIN DETAILED DOCUMENTATION AND TUTORIALS
About the cinematic tools

CREATE DATA PRESETS
For the Designers to use, in order to maintain consistency

DEBUGGING ANIMATION, CAMERA, LIP-SYNC
And other more complex technical issues related to the cinematic creation

CARRY OUT MORE TECHNICALLY COMPLEX PRODUCTION TASKS
As a Cinematic Designer and create challenging scene prototypes

Qualifications

Your skills

KNOWLEDGE
Has experience in technical design, technical animation and/or game cameras (ideally as part of a AAA game project)
Preferably experience with AAA game engines and their limitations
Programming and visual scripting experience is definitely a plus

PLANNING AND TIME MANAGEMENT SKILLS
Adaptable, detail oriented, proactive and autonomous
Problem solving and ability to quickly adapt to production changes

DRIVE AND ENTHUSIASM
Has the ability and is eager to learn in a rapidly changing environment
Up to date with the newest related technologies in the game development industry

COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Able to understand and clearly communicate ideas in a technical language
Excellent communication skills and teamwork-oriented attitude
With ability to work with people from other fields of expertise
