We’re looking for a super talented technical artist to help improve the art pipelines of Love & Pies and take its visual fidelity to the next level.
The art team on Love & Pies is collaborative, experienced and proactive, and we’re looking for someone similar to own and develop all technical aspects of the art process and tools, ultimately helping everyone become even more efficient and creative.
Our ideal candidate has an extensive knowledge of working in Unity and Maya, creating implementation tooling, and finds enjoyment in aspects that add creativity into the game.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the bridge between the art and dev teams to take the environmental art of Love & Pies to the next level, from shaders to key FX
- Assist in the implementation of assets into Unity, proactively helping to refine and develop processes to assist in the content pipeline
- Own and develop setting up environment and 3D scenes in Unity and Maya, building new areas based off concepts
- Have a strong awareness and develop solutions for the performance of the game, from frame rate and memory usage to the best ways to optimise assets
- Communicate technical information effectively between programmers and artists
- Maintain clear and useful toolset documentation/workflows for the team
Requirements:
- Experience creating tools in both Unity and Maya that assist with asset implementation
- Extensive knowledge in Unity tool creation, animation controllers and systems
- Experience working with Spine
- Proficient in 3D modeling for a low poly casual mobile game, with a strong handle on UVs and texturing
- A proactive attitude when it comes to identifying new technologies/techniques/workflows and how they could be used to improve things at Trailmix
Location:
Trailmix is currently operating under a hybrid work model - we have 3 days a week (Monday, Thursday & Friday) in person at our brand new studio in Kings X with the remaining 2 days available to work from home.
