Job Description
The position is based in Montreal, in Ubisoft's IT department, and more specifically within the "Ubisoft Hosting Services" team (~120 people spread between Montreuil, Montreal, Shanghai and Singapore) which provides IT hosting and connectivity services for all Ubisoft games and services.
As a Network Team Leader you will be responsible for a team of network administrators and developers (4-8 people) based in North America.
The role of the Networking team is to provide LAN services for all Ubisoft data centers worldwide.
Responsabilities:
- Be the direct manager (team lead) of 4 to 8 network administrators;
- Manage day-to-day operations and projects (priority management, task distribution, escalations and incidents);
- Manage hardware purchases related to the team's operations;
- Manage the roadmap of the Network products operated by the team, in collaboration with the architecture teams;
- Collaborate closely with all Ubisoft IT teams around the world;
- Promote an automation and DevOps philosophy within the team.
- You will also be able to work on technical incidents from time to time, but we are looking for a manager, not a technical expert, for this position.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in network teams as well as required experience as a team leader or manager of a technical team, in various locations around the world;
- Good understanding of network infrastructure concepts, storage, virtualization or backup;
- Ability to prioritize tasks and make complex information accessible and understandable;
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities;
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills, strong listening skills and empathy in both French and English, verbal and written
