Team Lead Cloud Solutions Architect

Job Description

The public cloud team standardizes design and processes related to public cloud infrastructure and management for all of Ubisoft including our game productions or live environment. As the Architect Team lead working as part of the Public Cloud team, you’ll develop and deliver solutions to meet today’s growing demand for Agile and cost-effective cloud computing solutions in a hybrid environment. In this role, you will coach and assist your team to ensure we achieve our goals as an organization all while developing the necessary skillset to achieve these results. In addition, you will own the Ubisoft Hosting Services’ hybrid technical strategy that helps users to locate their workload at the proper place, at the proper time seamlessly.

Responsibilities:

• Be a trusted advisor and champion on cloud technologies -- Identify, formulate and suggest solutions for the long-range and short-range infrastructure priorities, goals, objectives and requirements for Ubisoft;
• Embrace hybridation of Ubisoft’s infrastructure, ensuring a seamless experience whether it be public or on-premise cloud technology - Gather requirements and assist internal customers to express their needs;
• Organize presentations of solutions and initiatives to staff (kick off meetings, peer review, technical follow-ups);
• Ensure budgetary expenditures and allocation of resources are optimal while delivering high quality solutions and improvements;
• Resolve architectural problems as per Ubisoft’s guidelines and address other concerns as necessary through the implementation and modification of current policies and standards;
• Lead, test or pilot processes for new services or technologies, and recommend staff training/development programs for upcoming new technologies;
• Create, prioritize, assign and follow up on tasks and the advancement of the team’s work with regards to deliverables;
• Organize and lead team meetings;
• Be a mentor and be a technical referent to your team;
• Draft reports for the Manager on the team’s work and recommendations whenever necessary to meet project objectives;
• Help recruit new team members and ensure their successful integration within the team;
• Take part in performance assessments in collaboration with the Manager.

Qualifications

Training

• A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Information; Systems, Computer Science, Mathematics or a related field.

Experience

• 7+ years of experience in IT with at least 4 years in a 1000+ servers’ company;
• Having worked in company using a hybrid infrastructure model to maximize its offering.

Skills and competences

• Extensive experience working with one of the leading cloud platforms such as Azure, Google Cloud or AWS;
• Experience in deploying and managing virtual and/or containerized workloads;
• Experience with infrastructure as code provisioning (using scripting or tools);
• A Leadership mindset – ability to effectively delegate work;
• Time and priority management;
• Good interpersonal and communication skills (English and French);
• Resourcefulness in problem-solving;
• Stress and change management skills.
