Tax Senior Manager -- Global Indirect Tax

We are hiring a Tax Senior Manager, Global Indirect Tax to join our Global Tax team at Xsolla. In this role, you will have a unique and exciting opportunity to help the Chief Tax Officer to design and build the global indirect tax function. (We will consider a Director-level candidate for this role.)

The chosen candidate is a trustworthy, proactive, and self-driven professional and will develop a global indirect tax policy and compliance process.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee and manage processes related to all indirect taxes, including sales and use tax, property tax, and VAT to ensure all indirect tax returns are filed timely and accurately
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and educate indirect tax issues, requirements, opportunities, and risks
• Develop and execute a strategy to manage indirect tax controversy including ASC 450 positions
• Manage and develop tax engine to improve tax operation process and focusing on automation, efficiency, and accuracy
• Ensure new revenue streams are accurately characterized and implemented within the tax engine
• Stay abreast of changes in and the latest news around indirect tax legislative developments
• Additional responsibilities as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

• 10+ years’ indirect tax experience in a high-growth industry and/or a prominent law firm or Big 4 accounting firm
• Technical expertise in U.S. Sales and Use tax, and global VAT/GST
• Ability to apply technical tax rules in a practical business environment
• Proactive self-starter who is comfortable identifying tax issues, forming and proposing practical solutions, and following through to ensure proper reporting, implementation, and documentation
• Fintech, Saas, video game, or related industry experience required

A plus if:

• 5+ years’ experience in indirect tax for U.S. multinational corporations is strongly preferred
• Tax LLM is strongly preferredExperience at an organization with an entrepreneurial mindset
