As the Talent Acquisition Manager, you will develop and execute strategies related to attracting, sourcing and selecting the top video game talent for the Ubisoft Toronto studio. Your strong passion for recruitment will help you manage and deliver on demanding placement requirements. Your proven track record in recruiting top industry professionals coupled with your strategic, hands on approach and drive for excellence will result in success for the studio in building production teams of international quality.
Type of Position: Permanent, full-time; Toronto, Ontario; Hybrid, flexible work environment
The daily life of a Talent Acquisition Manager at Ubisoft Toronto
- Collaborate with Directors, Producers and HR Managers to build out a hiring plan and strategy for recruiting high quality candidates and hard-to-fill roles across all disciplines (programming, art, design, animation, etc.)
- Define and oversee the tactical approaches for implementing the hiring plan and strategies: its methodologies, workflows, processes, policies and tools
- Effectively achieve recruiting results by approaching the talent market with innovative job advertisements and sourcing strategies
- Oversee the full cycle hiring process and candidate experience, from sourcing to signing
- Develop and track key performance indicators for the talent acquisition team
- Promote diverse recruiting practices and combat biases by ensuring each role has consistent requirements
- Coach, lead, mentor and grow a team of recruiters on how to be successful in a competitive market
- Build positive and meaningful relationships with business leaders and hiring managers through education and execution of all steps of the recruitment process, while ensuring that they feel valued and heard in the recruitment and onboarding process
- Develop and maintain expert knowledge of the video game and multimedia industry candidate market, incorporating trends into Ubisoft Toronto’s recruitment strategy where appropriate
- Develop strategic relationships with contacts within key associations and organizations to support the sourcing of top talent
- Successfully optimize technology and tools to ensure success and efficiency
- Underscore the overall Ubisoft employment brand in all activities and industry events
- Operate with a high level of expertise and independence in day-to-day tasks
- Carry out all other related tasks
What it takes to make it
- Minimum 7 years relevant experience in talent management, recruitment and sourcing
- Demonstrated experience in creating visions, strategies and executing them successfully
- Experience with developing an in-house, full-cycle recruiting experience
- Strong leadership skills and history of growing, developing and managing a team
- Exceptional customer service focus combined with exemplary follow-through
- Proven ability to consistently and positively contribute in a fast-paced work environment while prioritizing multiple functions and managing time efficiently
- Results oriented, with high level of attention to detail
- Work experience in project management and overseeing multiple initiatives
- Strong presentation and analytical skills
- Ability to work with all levels within the organization
- Demonstrated problem-solving creativity and innovation in solutions
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written
- Proficient in MS Office (able to develop reports in Excel, PowerPoint Presentations)
