Modern video games rely on many different services behind the scenes. From matchmaking, marketplace, and social features to anti-cheat detection, leaderboards, and server-side physics calculations. This ecosystem exposes new operational challenges with every new game launch.

Systems Engineering creates the experience that millions of players enjoy by providing a solid foundation for all EA games. That can only be done with a team of great engineers, some automation, inter-team collaboration and at least a little fun.
We’re looking for a Systems Engineer to:
- You will report to the Senior Systems Manager and be a part of a team responsible for the design of the system architecture, server infrastructure management, and advanced technical support.
- You will provide technical leadership required to provide high-quality IT solutions, and services that meet our needs
The next EA Systems Engineer needs:
- You have experience with automation and configuration management tools
- You have experience with public cloud services and deployment (I.e. AWS, GCP, or Azure experience)
- You are familiar with programming/scripting languages (Go, Python, Ruby, etc.)
- Knowledge of the software development lifecycle and experience with source code management tools
- You have experience with Continuous Integration, continuous delivery/deployment tools like Jenkins, Bamboo, or similar
- You have experience or knowledge of UNIX
- You have experience with TCP/IP, routing, VLANS, AWS Direct Connect, VPN and other networking concepts
- You have a desire to automate everything including process improvements, standardizing tools and technologies!
