Job Description
Ubisoft is seeking a Windows Administrator to join the IT Live Games Solutions & Tooling team. This team helps game productions build and operate their online infrastructure: from the pre-launch phase until the games are put into production.
Reporting to the Team lead in charge of the Live Games Solutions & Tooling Team, you will be responsible for the health and exploitation of our Online Windows platform along with all products related to the server. You will also paying particular attention to the operational activities, proactive capacity management and the surveillance of events. In addition, you will contribute to the execution of various projects and will provide a second level support for Microsoft systems under your responsibility (including on-call support).
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the proper daily operations of the Windows systems;
- Install, maintain and upgrade Windows servers;
- Monitor system events to ensure health, maximum system availability and service quality;
- Perform advanced diagnostics during emergency situations, including on-call;
- Perform system and application updates as well as equipment firmware updates;
- Automatization of simple to complex task with PowerShell script;
- Maintain the documentation regarding configurations, operations and diagnostic procedures for the Microsoft platform;
- Participate in the definition of standards, procedures, best practices and metrics as indicated;
- Assist in the evaluation of new needs, design techniques and standards;
- Answer user questions and service requests.
Qualifications
- Experience in Microsoft systems administration in an environment of over 200 servers Windows Server 2012 and 2016;
- Expertise in Active Directory, DNS and in scripting languages, such as PowerShell and Python;
- Good knowledge of Linux and Zabbix monitoring;
- Good understanding of Infra as Code tools, such as Terraform and of configuration management tools like Chef and Ansible;
- Good understanding of Internet technologies and concepts such as TCP/UDP, HTTP;
- Bilingual French and English is required both orally and written.
