Please note that vaccination is not considered to be fully in effect until 14 days after the 2nd shot. There is also a 3-4 week waiting period between the 1st and 2nd shot.
Contract length: 18 months (with the possibility of extension)
Work Location: Working remotely in the PNW area by start date - may need to be onsite periodically
Work hours: Fulltime
We are looking for an experienced Support Analyst to join our team. An ideal candidate will have a wide range of IT knowledge and experience. In this role, you will support a game studio as part of the Engineering team. If you are eager to strengthen your capabilities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, this is the job for you!
Responsibilities
- Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot a variety of Azure and on-prem infrastructure and services.
- Quickly troubleshoot and resolve critical issues for both Azure and on-prem infrastructure and services
- Create clear and succinct technical documentation
- Demonstrate technical knowledge and sound judgment in several of the following areas:
- Cloud technologies - Azure IaaS, PaaS, networking, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics
- Virtualization
- Storage
- Layer 2/3 Networking
- Disaster Recovery
- Configuring, administrating, and troubleshooting Windows Server/Linux
- Perforce
- Endpoint Management and Security
- Identify opportunities to improve service health, manageability, reliability, and telemetry.
- Apply engineering principles to provide support, collaboration, and escalation of complex problems through the proper channels to resolution.
- Seek feedback and apply internal or industry best practices to improve your technical solutions.
- Demonstrate skills with time management and completing projects in a cooperative team environment.
- Participate in and serve as escalation point in a 24/7 on call rotation at least one (1) week per month.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience with troubleshooting core infrastructure technologies including storage, networking, cloud technologies, Active Directory / AAD.
- 1+ year of managing technical services/infrastructure including both on-premises and cloud-based systems.
- OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Good communications skills, both verbal and written.
- Experience with Windows Server OS performance tuning, troubleshooting, and analyzing log files.
Nice to Haves
- Experience with scripting and automation.
- Experience with working in a team, including coordinating large projects, communicating well, and exercising initiative when presented with problems.
- Experience leveraging cloud architecture, applying site reliability principles, and demonstrating sensitivity to operational concerns.
- Basic understanding of operating system level concepts such as processes, memory allocation, and the network stack; understanding of how applications are affected by the above, and ability to troubleshoot root cause.
- Basic understanding of different protocols and services.
- Experience with IT Administration Tools (for example: Netmon / Wireshark / Active Directory Users and Computers / Sysinternals / WinDbg).
