Lifecycle Marketing Intern (Summer 2021) Paid
The Lifecycle Marketing Intern will be a member of Lifecycle Marketing on Consumer Marketing and Insights and report to the Manager, Lifecycle Strategy. The team is designed to create cohesive and seamless messaging player journeys, ensuring multiple channels, such as email, in-game, web and mobile, to work together to personalize a player's experience across EA's Network.
As a member of the Lifecyle Marketing team, you will be focused on the messaging side that creates highly personalized and scalable messaging plans that promote acquisition, engagement, and retention across EA's portfolio of games and other in-network player destinations.
You will analyze data to understand customer behavior and identifying messaging opportunities. You will look at ways to promote customer loyalty and advocacy including looking at outstanding programs and finding ways to reward and acknowledge our best players. You will work with team members in Orlando, Seattle, Stockholm and Redwood Shores helping drive data-driven insights from analytics to other parts of the business.
You are adept at thinking strategically about difficult problems and are interested in customer lifecycles. If you have a desire to translate data into relevant insights, create messaging plans to promote player progression, manage projects all while having a passion for games, this role is for you.
Responsibilities:
- Use available customer data to help identify different player motivations and insights
- Scoping different loyalty programs across different companies and industries
- Find and create new data-point opportunities to improve the consumer experience
- Think ways to surprise and delight our different player cohorts
- Influence our decisions and marketing strategies through fact-based insights and analysis
- Perform strategic analysis using all available sources of information (internal consumer data, consumer insights, research data, industry sources), to support the decision-making process and strategic direction
Requirements:
- Major in Marketing, Communications or Journalism
- 1+ year of relevant hands-on marketing and analytical experience in gaming, technology, retail or consulting
- Experience using data to help inform customer lifecycles
- Excellent knowledge of MS Excel including macros, pivot tables, lookups
- You see the main story and develop compelling communications
- Can influence leaders to consider and act on recommendations
- Enjoy looking at data and finding creative solutions for problems or opportunities
- View challenges as opportunities; tenacious and focused
- You have the ability to work with multiple teams and stakeholders
- Understanding of marketing channels and metrics
