We are looking for a student worker to work in the Asset Pipeline team, part of Core R&D. This team develops one of the most critical systems in the Unity infrastructure. The import pipeline is responsible for ingesting and transforming a large number of assets in a scalable way. The imported assets are used in the editor, in player builds and through live link. Our solutions employ a mix of techniques, including
- multi level caching
- lazy evaluation
- parallel execution
- adaptive scheduling
In this role you would have the opportunity to work with skilled software engineers, become familiar with a large codebase and be a part of a dynamic workplace filled with highly motivated people. We look for student workers who are curious, want to learn and are keen to make an impact.

What you’ll be doing
- Designing and developing features and systems in a core part of Unity's engine
- Improving the user experience by identifying and fixing bugs, as well as contributing to public documentation
- Ensuring quality by writing automated tests for features and bug fixes
What we’re looking for
- You must be a student in a relevant master's program at a Danish University
- Problem solving ability
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Some programming experience (the team works in C++ and C#)
You might also have
- Knowledge of graphs in computer science
- Familiarity with databases
- Prior experience with the Unity Engine
