Summary
Reporting to the Manager of IT Financial Planning (in Paris), the Strategic Planning Analyst (Financial Analyst) will take part in Financial Planning for worldwide IT teams by analyzing financial viability of new or existing IT services. She or he will prepare financial plans with 3-year outlook, participate in quarterly update and prepare reports on financial performance.
We are looking for an individual with strong analytical skills and engineering background who is interested in working in a fast evolving, exciting and challenging environment.
Mission
The main and usual functions of this job are:
- Drive the financial tracking of assigned IT teams:
- Propose and Analyse key financial indicators of assigned IT teams;
- Analyse the monthly, quarterly and annual financial summaries;
- Provide various analyzes and presentations with the objective to align available financial resources with the technological needs of Ubisoft creative studios and the requirements of online gaming world;
- Prepare short & mid-term budgets and update fiscal forecasts for Ubisoft’s worldwide IT teams and their projects;
- Collaborate on development of new cost tracking tools, forecasting models and methodologies.
- Contribute to the IT costs modeling:
- Review business models of IT products offered to internal clients, review their long term financial viability, and propose proper pricing strategy.
- Perform any other related tasks
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, engineering or related field.
Relevant experience
- At least three years’ experience in financial planning and analysis, including budgeting, modeling and forecasting required (five years of experience or more a plus);
- Experience in Finance for IT;
- Knowledge or certification in ITBM or Service Model concepts a plus;
- Videogames industry experience a plus.
Skills :
- Good analytical and synthesis skills;
- Ability to communicate clearly & concisely financial concepts to non-financial clients;
- Time and priority management skills;
- Ability to work with remote teams; a team player with the ability to stay motivated when working independently;
- Ability to understand technological language and parse tech specifications;
- Strong follow through skills.
- Being available to travel at least 3 weeks per year (Paris, San Francisco and other), more often during the first year.
Knowledge
- Fluency in English required; in French a plus;
- Anaplan, Apptio and Microstrategy knowledge a plus.
- Extensive knowledge of Excel, VBA and PowerPoint;
- Experience with IT Infrastructure technologies, especially with physical servers, virtual and cloud hosting, application hosting a plus.
