Job Description (Multiple Locations: Austin, TX; Culver City, CA; Dallas, TX; Los Angeles, CA; San Francisco, CA; Sunnyvale, CA)
Magic Leap is looking for a dynamic Sales Manager to serve State & Local Government and Education (SLED), that is intellectually curious, consultative and self-motivated to join our Sales Team. The ideal candidate is detail oriented, hungry and can creatively get complex customers to yes . Additionally, they should be ready to work in a fast paced, startup environment that is matrixed with many teams across the company. The SLED Sales Manager is charged with originating, scoping and closing deals with educational institutions as well as state and local government entities to promote Magic Leap’s growth in these critical market verticals.
Responsibilities
Grow the business and maximize the sales of SLED solutions.
- Leverage existing / build new strong relationships with school and governmental leaders (e.g., Deans, Provosts, Mayors, County Administrators, etc.)- become their trusted advisor and continuously identify new opportunities to integrate spatial computing into their organizations.
- Collaborate strategic alliance partners, Value-Added Resellers and Independent Software Vendors to grow our indirect sales channels.
- Work with Marketing, Public Relations and Communications departments to leverage products and develop new sales tools.
- Deliver sales presentations and product demos to small and large groups.
- Work with other Sales Managers and Vertical Leaders to ensure alignment with sales strategy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Proven high-achiever with track record of sales success (optimal candidate should have multiple years of meeting or exceeding quarterly / annual sales quotas).
- Strong aptitude for translating amorphous excitement into qualified opportunities and concrete sales proposals.
- Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Articulate; Superior communication skills.
- Highly organized and persistent.
