Responsibilities:
In this role, you will drive overall system architecture for high profile product and new technology development efforts. This senior leader will build the capabilities of the team and build relationships with internal and external partners and business/product owners.
- Lead platform-wide architecture and inventing of new peripherals and accessory products
- Anticipate and respond to challenges in manufacturing
- Support detailed product designs with domain expertise in one or more key subject areas (e.g. mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or software engineering)
Skills:
- Inventive and curious systems engineer with very strong engineering fundamentals
- Engaged at both the product design level (what should it do?) and the detailed engineering level (how should it be built)
- Experienced with small consumer products and new product development from initial concept through mass production
- Effective bridging from a small core team working with and within large organizations
- Comfortable spanning from high level program strategy and management to detailed engineering implementation
Qualifications:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering field, or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of experience leading systems engineering in small consumer electronics
- Experience in the video game industry is not required, but interest and passion for gaming experience, digital entertainment, consumer electronics, and technology is vital
Working Conditions:
- Small team environment; feels like a start-up within a large organization!
- Travel (domestic and international) required. Estimated 15%
