To add to our vibrant team, we are looking for a highly qualified and experienced Unity Technical Artist.
As a vital component of our team, you will work directly with designers, programmers, animators, and artists to create cutting-edge gaming visuals.
The perfect applicant has a solid foundation in both the creative and technical facets of game creation, especially with the Unity Engine ecosystem. What you'll do:
• Collaborate with artists, animators, and software engineers to create aesthetically pleasing and optimised game content.
• Serve as a bridge between engineering and all disciplines, responsible for planning, implementing, documenting, and optimizing art setups to support our game's animation and design requirements.
• Integrate art assets (prefabs, 2D and 3D), animations, UI, and VFX using the Unity game engine.
• Efficiently handle Unity prefabs, art assets, animations, animation controllers, and VFX (2D and 3D).
• Proficiently create and manage game environments, scene, and optimizations.
• Work closely with the Art team (artists, animators), developers, UI/UX team, and game designers to integrate and bring all game assets to life.What You'll Do
- 3+ years of industry experience and knowledge in Unity engine game development.
- Hunger for creating highly efficient and performant gaming experiences.
- Understanding of Unity profiling.
- Clear understanding of cameras, lighting, and shaders in Unity.
- Knowledge of Unity animation, Spine animation and Unity UI.
- Knowledge of VFX and Shader Graph.
- Must have strong experience in Adobe products (After Effects and Photoshop).
- Proficiency in Unity and other scripting languages (e.g., Python, MEL, JSX) or Object-oriented programming languages such as Objective C, C++, C#, or Java.
- Proficiency in software such as Maya, Unity, Photoshop, Texture Packer, Spine, Illustrator, After Effects, rigging, animation, and Visual Studio.
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with different departments such as Design, UI/UX, Development, and QA teams to ensure project success.
- Experience with Git and version control software such as Perforce.
- Proficiency in Unity and other scripting languages (e.g., Python, MEL, JSX) or Object-oriented programming languages such as Objective C, C++, C#, or Java.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree/BCA/MCA or equivalent in related field
- 3-6 years of professional work experience as a technical artist.
- Gaming Experience is preferable.
