This puts Osmo in a unique position, still acting as a small company, but with the backing and resources of a much larger one. We're looking for an experienced candidate to join a startup environment. You’ll be directly involved in shipping multiple products every year and make a meaningful impact on our customers.
Role and Responsibilities
- Be the primary bridge between our product + design teams and worldwide suppliers
- Manage the process of iteratively quoting game designs, coordinating samples, managing program margins and owning the hardware schedule
- Manage communication between colleagues in the US (Designers, Product) and Asia (Vendors, QA)
- The nature of this role will make you a key stakeholder in every product you’re involved in. So clear communication, the ability to manage up, and facilitate decision making is an asset
Required Qualifications
- Highly motivated and engaged individuals who want to see their work making a difference in children’s lives
- The nature of the role straddles multiple geographies and travel is expected - a sense of adventure and curiosity is very helpful
- Strong communication skills to keep vendors in sync with design & product teams
- 3-5 years of supply chain & sourcing experience
- Organized and general attention to detail
- Proficient in MSFT Office & Google Docs
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes
Qualifications You'll Develop on the Job
- Developing hardware for computer vision and machine learning based systems (hardware that minimizes shadows, is easy to read in various lighting conditions etc.)
- In depth knowledge of injection moulding and press printing processes and the ability to communicate concepts with Tooling/Mechanical Engineers
- Understanding pricing models, COGs and margins
- Real world experience with the compromises between cost, quality and schedule
