This position will be part of the Enterprise Quality (EQ) team. EQ focuses on providing high-level strategic quality oversight across all business units (BUs) and functions within Aristocrat. EQ defines the quality vision and principles, identifies strategic and operational quality initiatives, and ensures alignments across the organization via the enterprise quality operating model. EQ fosters a culture of quality and enables scalability to adapt and support changing business needs. EQ is supported by four key pillars – Enterprise Quality Strategy & Leadership; Quality Governance; Quality Capability Development and Continuous Improvement (Connect & Engage); and Quality Insights.
As Sr. Quality Solution Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the seamless integration of the Enterprise Quality strategy into business units and groups to accelerate their business process optimization and continuous improvement journey. You will facilitate cross-functional collaboration to identify and develop plans to improve business operations. You will participate/lead problem-solving activities related to product quality, process efficiencies, time-to-market, and end-user/customer experience. You will promote a culture of continuous improvement through quality engagements, business processes, and customer journey mapping. You will communicate with various levels of stakeholders/partners from frontline staff to executives.
You will support improvements to Enterprise Quality Roadmap – improving quality frameworks; innovating and exploring scalable quality toolsets, processes, and best practices; evolving technical quality performance indicator (Tech KPI) frameworks, etc. You will provide business/quality analysis support and guidance to the Business partners. You will work closely with Quality partners and Business/Development teams to explore, identify, plan, design, and implement proof of concepts (POC or Pilot) for improvement initiatives. That may include understanding the business ask, objectives, benefits, risks, and other requirements. You may have to engage with internal/external partners to ensure the right fit quality solution. You will lead/support the efforts for defining the POC scope, isolating key issues, reviewing viable solutions, and presenting recommendations that are cost-effective, efficient and meet business needs. You will review the approach/options with key partners/stakeholders to gain their support/approval.

- Promote strategic and operational excellence to improve team/process performance, maximize value, and increase efficiencies
- Support diverse and multi-functional teams to deliver strategic quality solutions
- Engage and facilitate open dialogues and communication with a diverse group of SMEs to identify quality pain points and improvement opportunities
- Build shared understanding among stakeholders regarding issues, problems, opportunities
- Facilitate strategic quality/improvement/training via planning sessions, workshops, and summits
- Demonstrate a big picture/broad scope and strategic benefits of quality solutions/initiatives
- Decompose high-level business ask/requirements into high-level solution design and create a proof of concepts (“POC”) or execute a Pilot to demonstrate business benefits and value
- Create/review business process diagrams, flowcharts, requirements documents, use cases, user stories, etc
- Quickly identify and define the scope/requirements, assess budget/resource needs, and set expectations
- Identify key issues and articulate dependencies, risks, mitigations, trade-offs, and decision points
- Research and provide advice on the relevant industry standards and best practices for quality and services to fit business needs
- Lead/support multiple concurrent projects/priorities
- Innovate in a dynamic environment and manage expectations
- This position may require some domestic and international travel.
- This position is based in Austin, TX (/ Las Vegas, NV) and offers flexible work options.
- This position may require registration with the Nevada Gaming Control Board (NGCB) and/or other gaming jurisdictions in which we operate.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent
- 10+ years of work experience in business analysis, software, quality, automation, information technology, continuous improvement, product development /delivery, and problem-solving
- 5+ years of experience as a software developer/lead is a plus
- Practical knowledge of agile and waterfall methodologies
- Working experience with full product lifecycle (concept, built, test, release, deploy, support)
- Good understanding of defining data, key quality performance indicators (KPI) and metrics, and insights
- Expertise in one or more programming/scripting languages, database concepts, and cloud computing is a plus
- Good understanding of desktop, mobile, and cloud platforms/deployments
- Familiarity with the mobile game development process and environment is a plus
- Demonstrated experience in cross-functional collaboration and team engagements
- Experience in casino gaming and real money gaming is a plus but not required
- Expertise in quality and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., BPM, SIX SIGMA, Kaizen, Problem-solving tools like 5Whys, Pareto Chart, Mind map, Fishbone/Ishikawa Diagram, Decision Tree, Brainstorming) preferred
- Familiarity with business process mapping and modeling, and customer journey mapping
- Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Jira, MS Project, Power BI) is a plus but not required
